Let's talk books...

Okay guys...

I'm in the mood to read so...what do you suggest and why?

And if you happen to know a good steampunk novel...or even a bad one, mention it.

My suggestion is Steamed by Katie MacAlister.  It's a steampunk romance...  Not my usual fare but I liked the world.

  1. I don't know any steampunk titles, but the Nightwatch series by Sergei Lukyanenko are my favorite urban fantasy titles.

  2. Never heard of steampunk, shows you what I know.

I think we travel in very different reading circles, but I just finished The Cutting by James Hayman. It is his first Detective McCabe novel.

Detective Michael McCabe and his partner, Maggie Savage, are on the hunt for a person who has a thing for athletic blondes. This person does unmentionable sexual things to them before ripping their hearts out (while they are alive).

It's a great book, but one night my hubby walked into the bathroom while I was in the tub intently reading and he scared me out of my wits.

  3. One old favorite of mine, if you can find it, is Pebble In The Sky by Issac Asimov. I just googled it and found out it was the first novel he got published.

    They have it at Amazon.
