Reliability Buddies

First...read this great post from Procrastinating Writers.

Then, if you'd like to have or be a reliability buddy leave your name in the comments. If we have enough folks interested, we'll form either a team or group of some sort. And don't be put off by the word group. I know y'all have more than enough on your platter and I don't want to add something that's going to tip the platter.:-)

When you have time, spend it over at Procrasting Writer and read the archives. They have some great posts.

Remember, if you don't get it on paper, you can't revise it or sell it.

  1. Okay, where is everybody? We have 26 followers but no comments on this post? I guess we must all be writing away. LOL!

I would love to participate if someone else will. I can't promise I'll get a lot of writing done, but I'm willing to give it a whirl. As for motivating others, my SC buddies know I keep a pair of butt kicking boots in the corner of my closet, and I'm not afraid to use them.

    Who will join me!

  2. *sigh* This has been a doctor week. Drive, drive, drive. Docs, docs, docs. Didn't hit my word count goals for most of the week, but wrote everyday and managed to do some planning on a couple things.

The reliability buddy is a good idea. I'm game to throw my name in the hat. :)

  3. Lynn...

You okay? Hope your doc visits turn out okay. Remember, don't get down about not meeting those goals...just start over. Life gets in the way sometimes and we just have to go with it.:-)

Cheryl...I think everyone took the weekend off. And I do enjoy your timely use of your "encouraging" boots.

I'll give it a while for anyone interested to let us know before setting up something.

    Here's to next week!!!

  4. Jean- Thanks for the concern. Yeah, everything is okay, just tracking stuff. :) I'm actually pretty good about not stressing over goals. It won't give me word count, so why worry? Lol,

  5. I am also interested in this :-) I very easily let the rest of life distract me and it is nice to have someone with a cattle prod . . . I mean someone to encourage me to keep at my writing.

I have been told I'm a good encourager. I don't have critique experience but I'll do my best to be a help and not a hindrance.

    Count me in!

    Sandra
P.S. I hope you are all right, Lynn. Cheryl, whatever writing you get done will be well worth it! :-)

  6. This sounds right up my alley. I think I would be a likely candidate for both needing and being a reliability buddy. Count me in too please.

I look forward to hearing more.

  7. Since I'm really tired tonight, can I just say "ditto" to everything that Sandra said? Is that cheating? LOL
Actually, yes, I could use someone (or a whole group of someones) with a cattle prod to get me moving along.
Not much crit experience here, but I know what I like and what does/doesn't sound "right" to me. I promise to always be nice and encouraging.

  8. I think this is a good idea, and I've been debating how to respond. I am in a critique group that I really like, but I have enjoyed the posts on this blog. I just don't know if I can commit at this time. Can I take a "wait and see" approach?
Sorry not to be emphatically in the game.
